An American newspaper spoke about the tragedy that will face the Democratic US presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, if she wins the elections, noting that she “will become a prisoner of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.”
The American Conservative newspaper considered that “President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential race was influenced by previous party forces, donors, and parliamentary elites, in which Pelosi played a major role.”
She pointed out that “Pelosi, the most powerful Speaker of the House in American history, has succeeded in effectively turning the presidency into a “creature of the legislature” and crowned an heir with a biography very similar to her own. In this way, Pelosi has de facto changed the US Constitution.”
“At a moment of crisis that requires the full strength and will of the American executive branch, the nation faces the prospect of being led by a creature of Nancy Pelosi’s legislature,” she said.
“Harris will remain hostage to the whims of donors, agency heads, and congressional leadership. She will be the weakest president constitutionally since James Buchanan, and like Buchanan, history will condemn her for overseeing a series of crises over which she had little control but for which she was widely condemned,” the newspaper said, adding, “This is the tragedy of Kamala Harris.”
