Diagnose
Pancreatic cancer has a very poor prognosis. The diagnosis is almost equivalent to a death sentence.
This is mainly because the disease usually only manifests itself once the tumor has spread, but also because existing therapies are unable to get a grip on it.
Even the immunotherapy in which the body’s own defense is used against the tumor cells and with which sometimes astonishing results are achieved, is powerless against this cancer. But American oncologists now seem to have got a foot in the door.
