“I strongly condemn Rabbi Mazuz’s harsh words against Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana and against LGBT people,” Shikli’s Twitter account reads. “There is no disease more dangerous than gratuitous hatred, we will win only by loving Israel.”

The head of the ‘Mercy Seat’ yeshiva, Rabbi Meir Mazoz, in his weekly class last night, referred to the LGBT parade in Jerusalem and the appointment of Amir Ohana as Speaker of the Knesset.

“The time has come for everyone to be asked, is this the Pride Parade or the Humility Parade? The Pride Parade?! What is pride in that? Stay away from it. People walk and brag – the Pride Parade in Jerusalem. Close the windows, tell the children there is a cattle parade here, you have nothing to look at This. There are animals here that walk on two feet. This is impudence above all else.”
