(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 30 – “The Association of Friends of the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa discussed internally the motion approved by a majority by the Academic Senate of the School on 26 March 2024, in particular the point which asks the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to reconsider the 2024 Scientific Notice issued on 21 November 2023 in implementation of the Italy-Israel Industrial, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement”. This is what we read in a note from the Association. “The numerous members of the Association who attended all expressed their dismay and many expressed their opposition to the request for reconsideration of the Notice – continues the note – believing that university institutions such as the Normale must rather, while respecting the opinions of individuals, worry about valorising always science, culture and art as elements of dialogue and universal connection. The Association has asked the Director of the School to make these considerations known to the Academic Senate”. (HANDLE).
