Islamabad: A conspiracy has been hatched to assassinate former Prime Minister and chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan. With this, heavy security was put in place in Islamabad. A huge security arrangement has been put in place for the public event in the city of Bani Gala where Imran will be attending. A ban has been announced in Islamabad. People were not allowed to gather and participate in public events.
His nephew Hassan Niazi warned that an attack on Imran would be considered an attack on Pakistan and the repercussions would be dire. According to local media reports, security personnel have been deployed in every nook and corner of the city following security agencies’ warnings of possible security problems in Bani Gala.
Former Pakistani Fawad Chaudhry has said that security agencies had earlier warned Imran Khan of death threats. Fawad Chaudhry added that Imran had rejected a request by security agencies to use bullet-proof jackets at a rally in Islamabad demanding a by-election in Pakistan.
