Oliver Pocher was bothered by the fact that his ex-partner Amira wanted to keep his last name. Now an agreement has been reached.

Amira and Oliver Pocher had already announced their breakup in August 2023, and their marriage has officially ended a few days ago: On Monday, the comedian and the presenter divorced in the family court in Cologne.

Shortly before the appointment, Oliver Pocher publicly took a dig at his ex-partner. He was upset that the mother of his children did not want to change his surname – and apparently got his way.

In a new episode of the podcast “Die Pochers! Frisch recycled” Oliver Pocher explains that the divorce also brought a decision in the name dispute. “Amira Aly, who will also soon be called that again and will therefore take her original name again,” the comedian begins his report on the divorce hearing – and then loses the thread. Amira Pocher has not yet commented on the topic, and on Instagram she still goes by her ex-husband’s name.

Although there have been repeated arguments recently, the court date has left Oliver Pocher emotionally overwhelmed. A divorce is “not a great date, nothing glorious, nothing great that you look forward to.” Amira Pocher was also not unmoved by the encounter: “I saw that in court. That she was naturally very emotional. That there were a lot of tears when she was there,” explains the 46-year-old.

However, the hearing at the family court in Cologne was not entirely without dispute. According to Oliver Pocher, the TV stars’ lawyers “shouted” at each other. The situation escalated to such an extent that the lawyers had to leave the room. Afterwards, the ex-couple negotiated all the details with the judge alone. “It was just good that they left and then we talked to him again,” said Oliver Pocher.
