Hapoel Haifa continues to strengthen. After joining the Jewish-Ukrainian defender Ilya Markowski and extending Nisso Capiloto’s contract for another season, the Reds from Carmel also announced today (Wednesday) the addition of Amit Meir.

The back midfielder, who played last season for Maccabi Petah Tikva and before that for Hapoel Tel Aviv, signed with Nir Klinger for two seasons with an option for another season. The 21-year-old Meir has made seven appearances for Israel’s youth team and will now continue for another season in the Premier League, despite being relegated to the national team with the Malabuses.
