‘Amit Shah’s speech is against international law and human rights’

Bangladeshi Jamaat-e-Islami strongly condemned and protested against the statement of Indian Union Home Minister Amit Shah that the BJP government will straighten Bangladeshi infiltrators by hanging their legs upwards. The party has claimed that Amit Shah’s statement is against international law and human rights.

On Monday (September 23), Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar said in a statement, ‘Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s statement that Bangladeshi infiltrators will be straightened by hanging their legs upwards is against international law and human rights. I condemn and protest his statement. Such statements of his do not indicate friendly relations with Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh do not expect such a statement from India.’

He further said, ‘I call upon Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to refrain from such statements and draw the attention of the Bangladesh government to protest against these statements.’
