Riyadh: Saudi Arabia presented ‘Joy Award’ to Indian actor Amitabh Bachchan. The third edition of the award presentation organized by Saudi General Entertainment Authority in collaboration with MBC Group to honor talents in various fields was held at Bakr Al Sheddi Theater in Riyadh Boulevard City on Saturday night.
Bollywood’s own Big B received the Joy Award for lifetime contribution to the film industry. Renowned film directors, actors, singers and other artists, sports stars and social media stars from the Arab world and internationally witnessed it in a colorful and grand atmosphere. Along with Bachchan, the violet carpet was rolled out to the biggest award night award in the Middle East region for four other talents. Saudi Arabia showered them with warm and heartfelt respect.

The second award for comprehensive contribution was received by Hollywood director Michael Bay. The popular artist award went to Saudi singer Abdul Majeed Abdullah, the best male sports talent award went to Moroccan football star Ashraf Hakimi, and the outstanding personality of the year award went to US Columbian actress Sofia Vergara. Renowned Lebanese singer Nansi Ajram graced the award night with sweet music and elevated it to an indescribable sensation. World famous journalist Georgina Rodrigues, Tunisian actress Hend Sabri, Egyptian actress Yusra and American actress Mel Gibson were also present to brighten up the award night. The award night is part of the ‘Improving Quality of Life’ program which is one of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
