AMLO must be accountable; Santiago Creel points out to ‘sue’ Obrador if he wins in 2024

In an interview with Fernando del Collado for Latinthe candidate for the presidential candidacy of the National Action Party (PAN), Santiago Creel Mirandaresponded to various controversial questions about his party, the 2024 elections and the president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

The legislator, who is promised as a change for the country, reiterated that he is ready to comply as head of state, in addition, the current administration pointed out, that “tramples every day” the Mexican Constitution.

There were more than a dozen questions without missing a beat and, in one of them, he was asked what he would do with Andrés Manuel, if he became president. Creel ruled that AMLO “has a constitutional mandate, and must comply with it”, and that he would sue it if it was warranted.

He also mentioned that one of Obrador’s legacies has been poverty, violence and “he has left our country in a very bad position in the world”calling him autocratic and irresponsible, “for all he has done” in Mexico.

“AMLO knows nothing of the Constitution”he said, due to the discussions that the president has had with the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN).

“I insist, what will you do with AMLO if he becomes president?”, questioned Collado. To which Santiago Creel replied that “he goes to his ranch, and we’ll see how he renders accounts. First, be accountable, and then we determine responsibilities”.
