The president Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) reported that the Hurricane John has left 15 people dead in the state of Guerrero and announced the end of the evacuations of the civilian population.

Through his X account, AMLO shared the latest Civil Protection report on the floodsthe damages and the actions of the federal government in the face of the emergency in Guerrero.

He indicated that the water is going down in the main affected areas, although “there is a lot of mud in the streets, which have already begun to be cleaned.”

He also said that he is about to start the house by house census with the participation of Servers of the Nation to deliver direct support to the victims.

Regarding services, López Obrador pointed out that work is already underway to reestablish communication with the Costa Grande and the electrical service has already been restored.
