He explained that, on the one hand, preventive civil police forces disappear, and on the other, “it causes the excessive use of force and the consequent violations of human rights, in addition to the distrust and discredit of the population towards our Armed forces”.
He said that organizations such as the United Nations, Amnesty International, the International Commission on Human Rights, Among others, they have categorically rejected the militarization of public security because it will generate human rights violations and perpetuate impunity.
