AMMC: BP Marrakech-Beni Mellal crosses the 5% participation threshold downwards

Casablanca – Banque Populaire (BP) Marrakech-Beni Mellal has directly crossed downwards the 5% participation threshold in the capital of Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP), announced Tuesday the Moroccan Capital Market Authority (AMMC).

“Banque Populaire Marrakech Beni Mellal, declared having sold on the block market, on December 21, 2022, 1,880,058 Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) shares at a unit price of 234 dirhams in favor of Mutuelle Agricole Marocaine d’Assurances (MAMDA), directly crossing downwards the participation threshold of 5% in the capital of said bank”, indicates the AMMC in a press release.

Following this transaction, BP Marrakech-Beni Mellal declares that it holds 8,973,148 BCP shares, or 4.4% of the capital of the said bank, specifies the same source.

Within six months of crossing the aforementioned threshold, BP Marrakech-Beni Mellal plans to stop its sales on the BCP value, the press release concludes.
