The killed “Reuters” journalist is a British citizen who was buried in the rubble after being hit by a missile, and was found dead by rescuers in the evening. The injured Reuters journalists are citizens of Latvia, Ukraine, USA and Germany. The prosecutor’s office informed that a total of six people were injured, four of them journalists.

The information available to TV3 news shows that the injured citizen of Latvia is the independent journalist Viktors Sajenko. TV3 journalists Ieva Varna and Sergej Medvedev, who continue their work in Donbass, have found out that the injuries sustained by Sajenko are not life-threatening.

Sajenko has already informed his relatives about the incident. Sajenko told the LETA agency that he cannot comment on the incident at the moment, as the investigation is ongoing.

Filashkin’s statement did not mention the name of the hotel, but judging by the photos, it is the Sapfir Hotel.

The impact also caused damage to nearby buildings.

The prosecutor’s office of the Donetsk region has initiated a criminal case for violation of the rules of war.

Kramatorsk is the temporary administrative center of Donetsk Oblast, as the oblast’s center, Donetsk, is occupied by Russia.
