A survey of 1,350 teenagers between the ages of 13 and 17 was conducted in September 2022. The survey was conducted by Common Sense Media. 58 percent of people view porn content randomly. 63 percent of them watch porn content again and again. Porn content has become commonplace for people under the age of 13. 44 percent of them knowingly watch such content. It is introduced to children by acquaintances and friends through online platforms.
38 percent of teenagers access such content through Instagram and Tik Tok. 44 percent of people depend on porn sites. 34 percent watched such videos from YouTube, 16 percent subscribed to platforms like OnlyFans, and 18 percent watched such videos on streaming sites. 50 percent did not feel embarrassed to watch such content. 67 percent think it is okay to watch porn content. Many people think that they can get clear information about sex only through such content. 27 percent of them think that what they see through such content is the right kind of sex. There are not a few people who rely on pornography as they have no other way to learn about sex. This survey shows that children need to be talked to about sex as much as anything else.
