Bridges, new railways and 138 selected motorway projects should be able to be built in Germany faster than before. After a long struggle, the traffic light cleared the last hurdles for a bill from the Federal Ministry of Transport on Monday evening. He is scheduled to be discussed in the Bundestag on Friday.

Included in the package are two other central transport projects from the house of FDP Minister Volker Wissing: In addition to the reform of the road traffic law, the increase and expansion of the truck toll will go through the parliamentary process. Time was particularly short for them: the increase should take effect on December 1st and secure urgently needed income for the budget.
