MK Dodi Amsalem of the Likud attacked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu this morning (Friday), in an unprecedented turn.
Amsalem came out to thank the fans who came to demonstrate in front of his house for remaining out of the government – and attacked Netanyahu: “No one will ever humiliate David Amsalem. They don’t humiliate only Amslams – but all Amslams and Bittans.”
He added: “Not with us, not in our party, of which we are 70%.” I’m in my house, my uncle Amsalem, I grew up in Likud, I’m the oldest of most faction members. I’m in Likud as a child from the age of 15 – I’m not in the second tier of key fees at my house – who manages them?
“I told the Prime Minister – you were chosen first and I respect that, but the same audience chose me in fourth place. And I’m not asking for anything that I don’t deserve according to the order – so you gave Rival Levin the sentences, great. So you gave to Galant, you gave to Eli Cohen, and where is David Amsalem? are you skipping me What is my sin and what is my crime? I am not humiliated. We Spaniards are not humiliated. Never. No one will humiliate us members of the Mizrahi ethnic group, not even a prime minister from the Likud.”
“At home, are we second class? Amsalam David? Most of the Likud voters are Muslims and Bittans, should we apologize because we came in fourth place? What is this audacity? I see this as a huge favor from the prime minister.”
He added: “By the way, I told him that. But it’s not important. The people of Israel are more important than my uncle Amsalem and the Likud, so we will continue to work for the people of Israel. We will save the country and intend every day to continue to take care of the weaker sections and the governments.”
