With the summer coming, amusement parks must fill up with customers, but also with fixed-term contracts to be able to hold out during the season. Despite everything, it is not always easy to find motivated young people for this tedious work, as in Ermenonville, in the Oise.

After training in safety rules, Inès Dupont, 20, already has a work contract to sign for the summer and weekends. “I don’t mind working weekends, holidays. I am young, I have time to rest”, explains the new employee of the park “La mer de sable”. The manager must recruit 300 employees for the season, something complicated with working days. With competition from other parks in the area, the boss must attract young recruits, and above all keep them.

Difficulties in hiring

So he created a relaxation area for the employees, “to pamper them” as he says. But in exchange, he counts”make them work hard”. In an animal park in Saône-et-Loire, the same recruitment difficulties. Its director must recruit about fifty seasonal workers and to do this, he had the idea of ​​increasing remuneration thanks to a profit-sharing bonus for those who stay more than three months. But it is not won yet. Points in his park are not yet open to the public due to a lack of staff, so he multiplies job interviews.
