An 18-year-old man was killed this morning (Friday) in an accident on Route 71, near the Beit Hashita junction, involving a bus and a commercial vehicle. In addition to him, three were lightly injured and were evacuated to Haemek Hospital in Afula for treatment. Israeli police officers arrived at the scene and began directing traffic and road accident investigators began investigating the circumstances of the accident.
Senior MDA paramedic Kobi Shoshana and MDA paramedic Adir Turner said: “When we arrived at the scene, we saw a bus on the sidewalk crushed on its left side and a commercial vehicle crushed in the front. “Medical while the fire crews rescued him from the vehicle and unfortunately in the end we had to determine his death. From the bus all the passengers got out fully conscious, we performed medical tests, three suffered injuries to their bodies and after initial treatment in the field we evacuated them for further treatment at the hospital.”
