On Wednesday morning, a Nepalese man reached the 8,027-meter peak of Shishapangma in Tibet, completing the conquest of all 14 highest peaks.

“He did it this morning,” the young athlete’s father, Tashi Sherpa, said on Wednesday. “He trained well and was confident he could do it.”

Meanwhile, Riji himself stated that this achievement is not just the culmination of his personal journey, but a tribute to every Sherpa who has ever dared to dream beyond the limits. “Mountain climbing is more than work, it shows our strength, endurance and passion,” said the youngest conqueror of all the highest peaks.

Previously, the youngest climber to reach all 14 highest peaks was another Nepali, Mingma Gyabu “David” Sherpa, who did it at the age of 30 in 2019.

In August 2022, the new record holder Nima Rinji Sherpa reached the summit of the world’s eighth highest mountain Manaslu (8163 meters) at the age of 16, but in June of this year he reached the third highest mountain Kanchenjunga (8586 meters) as the thirteenth of the 14 highest peaks.
