At the Office of the Ministry of Transportation, a joint cooperation agreement was signed to exchange electronic information between the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority and the Libya Trade Network of the Ministry of Economy of the Government of National Unity.
The ceremony took place in the presence of the Minister of Transportation, Muhammad Al-Shahoubi, the Minister of Economy, Muhammad Al-Hawaij, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transportation for Diwan and Maritime Transport Affairs, and the Undersecretary for Air Transport Affairs, along with the President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Chamber of Maritime Navigation, and a number of officials.
The agreement aims to support digital transformation in the maritime transport sector by creating a database for imports and exports through Libyan ports, in addition to implementing the Single Window Project, which is one of the international requirements that Libya adheres to in accordance with the International Maritime Organization circular.
The agreement was signed by Muhammad Al-Siwi, on behalf of the Ports and Maritime Transport Authority, and Muhammad Darwish, on behalf of the Libyan Trade Network, stressing the importance of this step in enhancing cooperation and achieving the strategic goals set.
