An alligator four meters long is unusual. Even less when he walks around with a human body in his mouth. This is what happened Friday afternoon in Florida in the United States, as reported South West.
After seeing the animal wandering around with a corpse in its mouth in a canal in Pinellass County, a passerby raised the alarm. The witness to this scene, JaMarcus Bullard, had the reflex to film the scene. “I could tell there was a body in his mouth,” he explains to local media.
An autopsy will be conducted
The area is known to be home to many alligators. However, a local resident, Jennifer Dean, said she had never seen such large specimens.
The body that the alligator held between its teeth has not yet been identified, but is believed to be that of an adult. It was recovered by county officers who shot the animal upon arrival. The sheriff’s office said an autopsy would be conducted “to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the death.”
