For this unexpected find, he used a metal detector sold for just over 700 euros on the market. ‘The Golden Triangle’ has been attracting seekers of precious metals since the 1850s, when a series of gold rushes began in Australia. The largest nugget ever discovered in the area, nicknamed “the Holtermann nugget”, weighed more than 90 kg.
