An apartment caught fire in the city, the family members were evacuated to the hospital due to smoke inhalation

by time news

A residential apartment caught fire last night (Friday) on Rabbi Kotler Street in Bnei Brak. Three teams under the command of the shift commander, Rabbi Reshef Dedi Kolimer, sensed the scene and on arrival identified flames from the windows of the apartment. Firefighters worked to put out the blaze and search for casualties.

The family members, who were in the apartment when the fire broke out and left the apartment independently, were evacuated by MDA to the hospital due to smoke inhalation. A fire investigator was called to the scene.

Firefighters and Rescue said: “This incident is an example of the importance of installing a smoke detector – a lifesaver. If a smoke detector was installed in the apartment, the fire would be detected early from the outbreak of fire and thus prevent family members from inhaling smoke and reduce property damage.”
