Iris Antman (Oded Karni)
48 hours after being signed as Nof HaGalil coach, Yaron Hochenboim surprised when he decided to appoint Iris Antman as an assistant. Antman coached the Israeli national teams for 11 years in the Football Association and has a Pro certificate since 2015.
The coach was selected by UEFA for an outstanding coaches program in which she underwent kosher training for two years and will be the assistant coach at the Hapoel Nof HaGalil club in the National League.
Iris Antman She said after the appointment: “I am happy to be part of the Hapoel Nof HaGalil club. I thank Gil Baram and Liron Hochneboim for putting their trust in me to lead the club together to the place it deserves to be. Have a happy new year everyone.”
Yaron Hochneboim He added: “I didn’t know Iris but I was enthusiastic about her interpretations and I saw that she understands football and knows how to read the game while it is being played and not after it. They suggested that I go for her and I realized that it was an excellent idea, after the interview I realized that she is what we are looking for and that she has a lot of knowledge.”
CEO of Nof HaGilil, Gil Baram, said: “We are happy to be the first club in Israel to hire a woman as an assistant coach. Iris is here due to her ability and experience and we are sure that we will reap the fruits during the season.”
