Astronomers expect a huge asteroid to pass close to Earth this week, revealing its degree of danger.

The newspaper “Daily Star” quoted astronomers as saying that the asteroid, which they called “2022 MQ”, is moving at a speed of 12 kilometers per second.

Scientists have indicated that the asteroid, which is approximately the size of the “London Eye” wheel, will crash into the orbit of our planet.

The newspaper quoted NASA scientists as saying that any object in outer space more than 100 meters long would be able to create a destructive force ten times more than that caused by volcanic eruptions.

According to scientists, “2022 MQ” will approach 1.79 million miles from Earth on June 27, knowing that its diameter is estimated to range from 230 to 525 feet, according to Sky News Arabia.

The disclosure of the passage of the asteroid “2022 MQ” comes a month after the passage of the asteroid “EX 2013”, which was 440 feet in diameter and flew 3.92 million miles above us.
