Complaint for “piracy”
The interruption was not to everyone’s taste. To “invite” themselves to the videoconference, the hackers used the identity of Benji Espinoza, Pedro Castillo’s lawyer. The nation reports that“he will file a complaint for piracy”. “This case shows that the virtual justice system is vulnerable”, indignant the lawyer, adding:
“The authors of this appalling video used coarse filters to make it look like the scene was taking place in my office, which I categorically deny.”
As the Argentine newspaper recalls, the Peruvian head of state is suspected of being at the head of a system of corruption involving his former Minister of Transport and Communications, Juan Silva. His government is the target of several other investigations for alleged corruption. The previous Peruvian leader, Martín Vizcarra, had already been deposed on the grounds of corruption.
