/ Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University in Egypt, Ahmed Karima, revealed a huge surprise regarding the increase in the number of atheists in Egypt.

Karima said during a television interview that their number exceeded 3 million, according to recent studies and statistics, and therefore religious discourse must be renewed in accordance with what President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for.

He added that religious channels turned into political mouthpieces after January 25, insulting and slandering artists, preachers, and all those who disagree with them in opinion, explaining that religious media has no influential role in the Egyptian street.

The professor of comparative jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University continued, saying, “I learned to speak the truth and not fear, for God’s sake, the blame of a blamer. I did not reap any gains at all, and my children did not get any jobs.”
