According to the information released by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the earthquake was felt up to magnitude 5 in the cities of Suluktu and Razzakov of Batken region, and up to magnitude 4 in the city of Batken. According to preliminary information, there were no casualties or damage from the earthquake.

The Tajik service of RFE/RL, relying on the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, reported that a 5.9-magnitude earthquake was registered at the local time. On Monday, it was reported that the residents of the apartment buildings went out.
