An Egyptian journalist reveals a surprise about the health condition of the minister’s son, who is accused of a murder in America, and explains the disease he suffers from

Al-Marsad newspaper: The editor-in-chief of the Cairo talk program, broadcast on Al-Qahera Wal-Nas satellite channel, Mohamed Fathi, revealed a surprise in the case of Ramy Fahim, the son of the Egyptian Minister of Immigration, Nabila Makram, who is accused of committing the murder of two people in America. He indicated that he suffers from mental illness.

He said during the program’s broadcast yesterday that there is some information that confirms that Rami’s defense will submit documents to the American court, indicating that he suffers from a mental illness called schizophrenia.

He explained that the minister’s son, “during the beginning of 2021, suffered something like a psychological breakdown, and was alone in America, so his mother had to travel to him, and he was placed in a psychiatric clinic, during this period.”

He pointed out that “there is a branch of medicine called forensic psychiatry, through which the accused is subject to a consultation of doctors to determine his psychological state, and whether he suffers from a mental illness while committing the murder.”

He added, the medical committee (Consulto) that will be appointed by the American court entrusted with ruling in the case of the son of the Minister of Immigration, is the one who confirms this or not.
