In the summary of the year 2022, the rate of consumption from renewable energies was 2.8% and at the end of the year the total installed power from renewable energies was 665.3 MW, which has an annual production capacity of 4.9% of the total consumption. The rates paid for electricity produced in new solar installations have been falling consistently in recent years. However, the average cost of renewable energy production in the electricity tariff is over 50 cents per kWh.

The trend of reducing the use of coal for electricity production continues and in 2021 its share will drop to 23% compared to 26% in 2020 and compared to 59% at the beginning of the decade. The growth trend in the electric company’s investments also continues in the transmission and distribution segments as a result of the implementation of the development plan for the transmission network and increasing the scope of the production facilities connected to the distribution network.
