Baghdad / Obelisk Al-Hadath: Today, Thursday, the Federal Integrity Commission revealed that the competent authorities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan arrested a fugitive convict, and deposited him with the judicial authorities in the Kingdom.
The commission stated in a statement that “the commission’s presidency has given the file of recovering funds and recovering convicts utmost importance within its tireless work platform, continuing to intensify its efforts and communication with countries that have shown cooperation and response in the field of recovering fugitive convicts, and in this field its efforts resulted in the arrest of a fugitive convict by the Jordanian authorities.” He previously worked at the Agricultural Bank in Ramadi; For deliberately causing damage to public money amounting to (6,600,175,000) six billion, six hundred million, one hundred and seventy-five thousand dinars.
The commission added that, “in cooperation with the competent courts, it organized a file to extradite the convict, and sent it to the Supreme Judicial Council – the Extradition Division of the Presidency of the Public Prosecution; for the purpose of sending it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; to deposit it with the competent judicial authorities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan through diplomatic means, as well as to organize a request for legal assistance; In order to seize the convict’s money that is in Jordan.”
She clarified that “the criminal court in Diyala and Anbar – the first body, had already issued two sentences to imprison the convict in absentia for a period of (7) years for each ruling in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code,” noting that “the convict participated with another convict, with intentional harm.” With public money, by conducting an on-site inspection of a property presented as a real estate guarantee by one of the borrowers, explaining the invalidity of the real estate deed.
