The planning and implementation team for the shortening of shifts in the Ministry of Health, which is due to publish its conclusions soon, is expected to recommend expanding the outline to emergency rooms throughout the country by the end of the year, according to the publication tonight (Monday) on N12.
Under the current outline, next month interns at ten hospitals in the periphery are expected to move from 26-hour shifts to 18-hour shifts, in addition to interns in the surgical, intensive care and anesthesia departments. In the second phase of this program, it will also apply to two hospitals in the center of the country.
Now, according to the recommendations of the planning team, it will be recommended to expand the application of the second pulse to all hospitals in the country.
Earlier today, the health minister criticized the finance minister on the grounds that he was delaying the transfer of budgets to additional standards and thus delaying the implementation of the plan.
