At the International Mugham Center in Baku on April 25 at 19:00, as part of the BakuOperArt project, a concert “Pushkin without borders” will be held, dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, Day.Az reports.
The main goal of the project, carried out since 2016, is to popularize opera and chamber vocal music in Azerbaijan. The musical director of the project is senior teacher of the Baku Music Academy named after Uzeyir Hajibeyli, pianist Yulia Kerimova.
This year the project becomes international, along with the honored artists of Azerbaijan Farida Mamedova (soprano) and Ilham Nazarov (countertenor), a guest from Russia – laureate of international competitions Alexander Sukhanov (baritone) will also take part in the concert.
The atmosphere of a literary and musical evening, where the poetry of the great classic in the anthology of romances by Alexander Dargomyzhsky, Alexander Borodin, Alexander Glazunov, Miliya Balakirev, Modest Mussorgsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Gar Garayev, Uzeir Hajibeyli, as well as scenes from the operas of Mikhail Glinka, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and Sergei Rachmaninoff will be represented by a diverse palette of voices. The evening will give bright emotions, touch the hearts of listeners with sensual poetry and beautiful music.
