“‘I Have No Time’ is a significant and exciting project that led to original and local work with educational and meaningful content for teenagers alongside the commemoration of a local artist from Be’er Sheva,” the organizers noted.

The many guests who came to the special evening held at the locomotive complex in Be’er Sheva, including the head of the Cultural Administration, Yair Nagid, did not hide their excitement. “It is moving to the tears of the giving of the people who came from all over the country to honor the memory of Noam,” said one of the participants.

The late Noam “Nomi” Cohen was killed last October in a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred near Givat Shmuel, and he is only 29 years old.

Cohen attended Eshel Hanasi Youth High School and later the Air Force Technical School. Already as a child, his special musical talent was discovered and he wrote songs, performed on stages, and over time became a well-known artist in the Israeli hip-hop scene, performing in many clubs around the country.

“Noam was always opinionated, stubborn and persistent. He pursued his dream from a very young age, he wanted to be a singer who would be known everywhere and at the highest levels,” says his mother Sufiya Avitan. “Today I am making his journey, literally a commemorative enterprise according to his will.”

In his short life, Cohen managed to release one album called “Rockstar, Atonement” and before his death he worked on his second album. “He’s been working on his second album, and it’s something we’re rolling forward, and very soon his second album is going to come out,” Avitan says. The songs will be performed by well-known hip-hop artists in parallel with Cohen’s voice.

On the cover of the song “I have no time” whose clip was screened on the eve of the commemoration, Avitan says, “It’s a song by Noam that was born from a collection of conversations between us. The song starts when I tell him ‘why don’t you call’.

“Life without pleasantness is unbearably difficult,” says Avitan sadly, “you see me smiling now, but I’m very upset inside. In the morning I sat for a few hours and cried with him, I talked to him, I asked him to give me the strength, and that’s what drives me. His today. ”

Avitan tells of her late son and says he “lives on the edge.” “It not only shook him, it also shook us as parents, my husband and I were constantly on standby,” she shares. “He crashed with the motorcycle more than once or twice.”
