The Guinean government, through its Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, is organizing the General States of Agriculture and Livestock in Conakry from July 3 to 5, 2024. This event aims to mobilize stakeholders in the sector to discuss ways to transform Guinea’s agropastoral potential into a real engine for self-sufficiency, food and nutritional security.

This initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture is strongly encouraged by the organized group of businessmen (GOHA International) and its president Chérif Mohamed Abdallah Haidara.

On this occasion, the head of GOHA International reiterated that his organization is willing to work with the department. According to him, for food self-sufficiency this step is essential. Each actor must commit and together find ways and means for the development of this sector.

The organized group of businessmen (GOHA International) is already ahead since it is setting up agricultural sections of GOHA throughout the country in common agreement with the communities. This is why GOHA International can play the role of intermediary, facilitator between the ministry and these different communities. Moreover, in several localities, Chérif Mohamed Abdallah Haidara is chosen by the local populations as their ambassador to the authorities of the country. This is the case in particular of Moriakhory in the prefecture of Coyah, Limbita in the prefecture of Dubréka, Barkèré in the prefecture of Koundara, Kawassi (Kamsar), Tanéné, Mombeya and Galy in the prefecture of Dalaba, Forécariah, etc.

NB: Mr. Chérif Mohamed Abdallah Haidara has been on a mission from his organization outside the country for several days, hence his absence from the launching ceremony of these general meetings.
