An Iranian coach leads Iraq’s taekwondo teams

/ Iranian coach Mohammad Motamedi arrived in the capital, Baghdad, on Tuesday, to complete his contract with the Iraqi Taekwondo Federation to be the technical director of all categories of the Iraqi national teams.

The head of the Iraqi Federation, Mahmoud Abbas, told Agency, “The selection of the Iranian coach came after a comparison with many coaches nominated to lead our teams in the game.”

He added, “Motamedi has a long history of achievements at the global, Olympic and Asian levels and a respectable record in the world of training and experience in the field of Taekwondo.”

He stated, “The Iraqi Olympic Committee blessed this choice, which came after studying and reviewing the history of this coach during his career in Taekwondo.”

Abbas pointed out that “Moatamedi will begin his duties to prepare our teams for the upcoming competitions and restructure the teams’ elements to choose the best and most appropriate.”
