/ The Ministry of Commerce announced today, Wednesday, the arrival of an Iranian delegation to Baghdad to hold discussions with the Iraqi side in the committee concerned with implementing and establishing joint economic cities between the two countries.
This committee is headed by the Undersecretary for Administrative Affairs, Sattar Al-Jabri, and the membership of the Directors-General of the Ministries of Trade, Industry, Transport, Foreign Affairs, and Finance, and the Deputy Governor of Wasit Governorate.
A statement issued by the ministry quoted Al-Jabbari as saying that the delegation, within the framework of the visit prepared by the ministry, carried out a visit to the sites of the border cities of Jassan and Zurbatiyah, where a joint industrial city and another free city are scheduled to be established, as part of the joint economic cooperation agreement to develop intra-trade between the two countries in a way that achieves Common interests.
He pointed out that the discussions with the Iranian delegation will include holding joint workshops, which will include a presentation by the Director General of the General Authority for Free Zones and another by the head of the Iranian Industrial Estates Authority, in addition to dialogue sessions between the participants, noting that the delegation will also hold meetings with Iraqi authorities in Concerned ministries and bodies.
