An Israeli army raid in Jenin results in the death of a young man

At least a young man has dead and three others have been injured in the early hours of Friday a raid carried out by Israeli security forces in the West Bank town of Jenin. The Palestinian Ministry of Health has indicated that a 19-year-old man, Salah Bariqi, has suffered a fatal neck wound, while three other people have been shot in the extremities.

The Israeli Army was in the city of Jenin in a military operation in which they have stormed several buildings and deployed snipers, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. Soldiers have fired live bullets and they have injured four civilians, of which one of them has ended up dying due to the severity of the injuries. In addition, local authorities have reported that the Israeli Army has arrested a young man, Baraa Kifah Alawneh, after entering his home. The Israeli forces have not commented for the moment.

Baqiri’s death brings to 175 the number of dead identified by Palestinian authorities as victims of Israeli operations, 124 in the West Bank and 54 in Gaza, including 41 children.
