A diplomatic fiasco: this is how the opposition and most of the Israeli media took stock on Monday of the announcement of the meeting in Rome last week between Eli Cohen, the Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, and her Libyan counterpart Najla Mangoush, who caused the dismissal of the latter.

Very proud to have thus established contact with the representative of a country which had refused until now to establish any diplomatic relations with the Jewish State, Eli Cohen published a press release in English and especially in Arabic to give satisfaction. The text, very optimistic, underlines that this meeting “unpublished“constitutes”a first step in relations between the two countries.
