56-year-old Gal Luft, an Israeli professor who serves as chairman of the Research Institute for Global Security Analysis in Washington, was arrested this weekend at the airport in Cyprus by the local police, on his way back to Israel, reports Itamar Eichner in “Vinet”. Luft’s arrest was carried out following an Interpol arrest warrant issued at the request of the US government, which defined Luft as wanted for “offences related to the export of weapons to Libya and China”. According to the suspicions, these things were carried out by Loft between 2015 and today.
