A one-and-a-half-year-old ultra-Orthodox toddler was burned this morning (Sunday) by boiling water spilled on him at his home in the Carmei Gat neighborhood of Kiryat Gat.
The rescue forces who were called to the family home provided the toddler, who was burned in the upper body, with first aid and he was taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer, in fair condition.
Akiva Podal, a senior paramedic at the Rescue Union, said: “I provided first aid to a toddler who was burned in the upper body as a result of boiling water poured on him in the kitchen of his home. He was then taken to Sheba Hospital in Tel Hashomer with his condition at this stage.
Nachman Tobol, an online spokesman for the Rescue Union, notes that it has recently been recorded again in cases of burns in children and toddlers from boiling water. It is important and recommended to follow the rules of safety and caution in order to prevent unnecessary disasters.
