An unusual accident was recorded today (Thursday) at the base of the US Air Force in Fort Worth, Texas, when an F35B aircraft crashed during landing. The pilot activated the emergency exit and exited the plane before it crashed, but his condition is unclear at this time.

According to the CBS News report, the accident occurred when the plane was landing. In the published documentation it appears that the plane landed on the ground – and immediately went back up into the air. As a result, the front part of the plane tilted forward, leading to a strong impact of the plane on the landing surface. At this point the plane overturned and rolled on the ground, while the pilot activated the ejection seat and was seen exiting with a parachute.
