An update to the Galaxy Watch 4 adds to the use of the ECG sensor and blood pressure

Samsung has started releasing a new update for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic watches that activates the eco-heart (ECG) sensor and blood pressure.

The update is distributed to supported countries gradually, including Israel, and in order to receive it, make sure that users of the most up-to-date Health Monitor app available for download in Samsung’s app store.

After the update, users will be able to monitor heart function using the ECG function that measures the heart’s electrical activity, which helps detect potential heart rhythm abnormalities.

Samsung says that for now, the deployment will start with the BT models and LTE versions next week as part of the Wear OS 3 update that is currently installed exclusively on the company’s watches.
