[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Este estudio concluye que implementar ejes verdes a lo largo de toda la ciudad de Barcelona reporta una “reducción considerable” en los problemas de salud mental que sufre la población adulta y en los costes directos e indirectos asociados a los mismos. AN URBAN GREEN SPACE INTERVENTION WITH BENEFITS FOR MENTAL HEALTH: A HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF THE BARCELONA “EIXOS VERDS” PLAN

AN INTERVENTION OF URBAN GREEN SPACES WITH BENEFITS FOR MENTAL HEALTH: EVALUATION OF THE IMPACT ON HEALTH OF THE “EIXOS VERDS” PLAN IN BARCELONA.

This study concludes that implementing green axes throughout the entire city of Barcelona reports a “considerable reduction” in mental health problems suffered by the adult population and in the direct and indirect costs associated with them. Scientific evidence shows that green spaces benefit health in general and mental health specifically through various mechanisms, including mitigation of air pollution, noise and heat, its ability to reduce stress and facilitate restoration processes in the body or because of its relationship with greater physical activity and social interaction.
