The president of Banco Santander, Ana Botinhas been appointed chairwoman of the board of directors of Open bankas previously foreseen, as it appears in the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (Borme).
The appointment of Ana Botín as non-executive president of the 100% digital subsidiary of Santander Bank it became effective on July 15, with which Javier Monzón, until then president of Openbank, became vice president of the online entity.
At the beginning of this year, Ana Botín indicated her interest in joining the boards of directors of Openbank, Santander Consumer Finance, and Open Digital Services, the three subsidiaries that make up Banco Santander’s Digital Consumer Bank business area.
As the non-executive president of these three subsidiaries, the purpose of Ana Botin focuses on promoting the integration of digital banking and the financing business within Digital Consumer Bank.
