On November 29, at the House of Laziness, the National Alliance for Alternation and Democracy (ANAD), blew on the embers. The political structure led by the Petite Cellule Dalein Diallo, president of the Union of Democratic Forces of Guinea (UFDG) warns against a shift in the calendar.

Theoretically, the CNRD only has 12 months left at the head of the country. But the badasses are slowly hurrying to return power to civilians. On the contrary, they are suspected of dragging out the transition to drag themselves out in power. This idea is starting to get on the nerves of political actors. On November 29, ANAD chattered for hours about the supposed or real agenda of the CNRD (National Committee of Rally for Development). The Alliance is unequivocal, there is no possibility for the junta to extend its lease: “In the absence of a credible timetable, a realistic election budget, a body for managing these elections, a Code electoral, of a technical operator, of an electoral register, two years after the putsch, we can maintain that the political will to expedite the return to constitutional order in compliance with the rules and principles of democracy and of the rule of law no longer exists among the Guinean junta. ANAD reiterates its commitment to fight resolutely for a rapid return to constitutional order, no shift in the timetable will be accepted,” declares Cellou Ta-Baldé, of the Ufdg.

He calls on the CNRD to return to better feelings, to promote frank and sincere dialogue, with the heavyweights of the political class to put an end to this crisis: “It is time to stop the headlong rush, to respect the Article 77 of the transition charter. It is time to call on the true driving forces of the nation so that we can tell each other the truth face to face. They know very well that it is not a transition that they are leading today, that the real transition has already left its path. It is time that we meet again and say to ourselves, is it in 45 days, 60 days that we are going to revise the existing file, to release the electoral file? It is quite possible to organize all the elections in a single day in our country.”

The CNRD risks continuing to push its agenda which many consider hidden.
