The average retail price of smartphones in Russia has risen to about 25,000 rubles. (by 32%). This is evidenced by the data of the analytical center GS Group for the first half of 2023 compared to the first half of 2022. The trend was confirmed to Vedomosti by interlocutors in three television companies that are engaged in retail.

Average prices are rising primarily for Apple, Samsung, Realme and Xiaomi products, says Alexander Surkov, head of the GS Group analytical center. “The 14th iPhone in the specified period accounted for half of all Apple imports to Russia. And the new generation of Apple is always more expensive than the previous one, he argues. “Samsung suppliers are importing more expensive models, since budget gadgets have much lower margins.”
