anand mahindra: RBI: Anand Mahindra holds key position in Reserve Bank! – union govt appoints anand mahindra and venu srinivasan to rbi board of directors

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group and a businessman, has joined the Board of Directors of the Mahindra Reserve Bank.

Apart from him, Ravindra Tolakia, Venu Srinivasan, Chairman, TVS Motor Company, and Pankaj Patel have been added to the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank as Directors.

All the above persons including Anand Mahindra have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank for four years. This was approved by the Union Cabinet today.

The Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank has been overseeing various important issues. All the members of the Executive Committee are appointed by the Government of India.

The Board of Directors of the Reserve Bank meets every two months to discuss the key responsibilities of the Board. It will decide on various important issues including repo interest rate.
