This native of Khenifra, who at the age of 32 already has more than 11,000 parachute jumps to his credit and around ten world records in this discipline, cultivates the dream of making a promotional film entitled “Morocco seen from the sky in parachute”, to give a boost to national tourism hard hit by the new Coronavirus pandemic.

As part of this new project which is very close to his heart and which he has been working on for four years, Anas plans to perform spectacular parachute jumps in different places in Morocco in order to show through aerial shots , the richness of the kingdom’s landscapes and the diversity of its tourist attractions, both natural and cultural.

“Through this initiative, I want to present to the whole world the beauty of our Morocco that we love so much,” said Anas in an interview with MAP, specifying that this innovative and young concept will not only promote Morocco as a as a tourist destination of choice, but also tourism linked to extreme sports, including skydiving.

It’s a great way to discover Morocco differently, in its different facets and its best attractions. This initiative, he explained, comes from the love he has for his native country and which has remained intact despite several years spent in the United Arab Emirates and precisely in Dubai, where he currently works as an instructor. skydiving.

“I have the love of Morocco under my skin. This pushes me every day to give the best of myself to carry the colors of my country very high throughout the world,” assured Anas, who is also a coach in free fall and tandem-master.

By hoisting the Moroccan flag on the roof of Mount Everest and the pyramids of Egypt, he said he wanted to associate the name of Morocco with unprecedented exploits and sporting records never before achieved.

A patriot to the core, Anas stands out for his iron will and his unwavering ambition to promote Morocco internationally. Inscribing the name of Morocco in golden letters within the pantheon of extreme sports is apparently its credo and its leitmotif.

His taste for adventure is endless and his appetite for challenges has no limits. After unfurling the Moroccan flag at an altitude of more than 11 km above Everest in a temperature of around minus 45 degrees Celsius, Anas now intends to face the rigors of the North and South poles of the Globe where he plans to achieve historic parachute jumps equipped, of course, with the national flag with which he has become inseparable on the ground and in the air.

This is a project particularly dear to Anas and one that he has been thinking about for a very long time. However, its realization requires several months of preparation and, above all, a lot of resources.

For the moment, this tedious project is pending due to lack of support and sponsors, he continued, noting that the parachute jump he made above Everest on November 6, 2017 at the The occasion of the anniversary of the Green March, alone cost more than 175,000 dollars.

”This challenge required so much money because it was an unprecedented project. No one has ever attempted to accomplish it before me,” said Anas, noting that through this jump which will undoubtedly remain in the annals of this sport, he achieved two world records at once, that of the longest largest flag ever displayed on the summit of Everest, 10 meters by 10 meters, and that of the highest flag ever hoisted in the world, 11 km above sea level.

Anas is a big fan of skydiving and a real sailing enthusiast. Since his early childhood, he only had eyes for the air. Obsessed with the desire to fly in the skies, to feel the thrill of risk, the strong sensations of free fall and the adrenaline of the unprecedented, this young prodigy has carried out surprising flights and several spectacular feats.

As surprising, fascinating, exceptional as his sporting career is, it nevertheless leaves him with a taste of unfinished business as long as this discipline remains very little practiced and little professionalized in Morocco. He bitterly regrets the absence of a dedicated Federation which could support and accompany athletes of his caliber in their projects and strongly deplores that this discipline is carried out in Morocco by only two clubs.
